Early Career Perspectives

Early Career Perspectives in Carceral Geography is a new online seminar series, showcasing the work of early career researchers in carceral geography.

The sessions will share emerging research in carceral geography, and encourage networking between researchers of all levels. Each event will feature presentations by postdoctoral and postgraduate researchers, and will be hosted by established carceral geography academics.

Early Career Perspectives is organised by the Carceral Geography Working Group and is hosted by the University of Birmingham.


The first seminar will be held via Zoom on Thursday 17 June 2021, 2.30pm to 4.45pm (UK time) and will feature the following presentations:

Attendance is free of charge and open to carceral geography researchers at all career stages.
